Crowd Spring Review

Outline

Launched in May 2008, CrowdSpring is a company established in Chicago. The founder of this esteemed establishment is Ross Kimbarovsky who is pretty famous for taking care of the intellectual assets of all the people who are using the site.

Like 99designs, CrowdSpring also offers a platform where creative individuals can market their designs and all their other innovations. When compared to the other sites dealing with logo contests that have been reviewed earlier, CrowdSpring seems to be different as it does not only handle design projects but also present writing projects. A large number of eminent companies have contacted CrowdSpring to get their work done including Starbucks, Amazon, LG and Microsoftto name a few.

Goods and Services

Crowdspring.com website has a lot to offer their regular valued visitors which involves design competition in graphic designing, web designing and industrial package designing. As far as the writing category is concerned, you can compete with other fellows for the selection of a unique name for your enterprise, composing a poem, refining work and other interesting things.

System of Work

$200 is the least you have to pay for ordering a logo design. You will also have to pay another $39 for getting yourself registered on the site and an additional 15% which CrowdSpring would use as its commission. When you are placing your order, you get to choose from various alternatives including the time limit of the completion and the amount of privacy you desire for conducting your contest. Furthermore, you will also be asked to fill in a briefing form which will tell the designers about the kind of logo you are looking for.

The moment your contest gets started, a massive group of designers from nearly 92,000 different places worldwide will start presenting their concepts according to the details you have provided. Crowdspring.com says that they mostly get 110 entries for every mediocre logo design contest.

Once your contest starts getting concepts, you are required to gather ratings and feedbacks for those submitted designs. Moreover, you are also allowed to ask the designers to keep refining their submitted designs so that they can provide you exactly what you want.

Once the contest gets over, you can select a winner who can then be given the prize money after you are handed over your files along with all the revisions.

Guarantee Scheme

Being a client, you should always make sure to thoroughly go through a company’s website before you decide to give them your order. Although a money back is offered here but the amount paid for the registration is apparently not refundable.

User’s Critique

Stated below is what the customers have to say about CrowdSpring and the conduction of logo design contests there:

  1. Rob Walker at Slate.com held a logo contest through CrowdSpring for $200 and he was pretty satisfied with the results;
  2. On the other hand, Ripoffreport.com is dissatisfied with the work of this company and thinks that the designers here were not able to make the required designs. When a refund was asked, only two thirds of the money was given back.
